 When should I book in?

As soon as you have your wedding date booked. Hair and make up should be very high on the agenda. Often brides overlook this and then end up in a panic. Hair and make up artists book up about 12-18 months in advance for certain dates however its never too late to chance your arm.... you could be lucky!!

When should I start to prepare my hair for the Trial and wedding?

It is essential to start working on your hair routine as soon as you know you are getting married. Regular trims are important to keep hair in top condition. Also use intensive treatments as frequently as you can. For your trial if you are getting it put up I do ask that you shampoo the hair the day before and dry it. Freshly washed hair can be fly away so that is why we ask you to do this the day before.

Will you attach my veil & head piece, Mother of the brides Head piece? etc.

Of course I will. I wait to do this until you are about to leave in your bridal car. I will also show the bridesmaids how to pop it in and remove it without damaging the hair.

How do Bridal trials work?

All trials are at the studio in Mountbellew by prior arrangement. It is recommended that you book your trial 3 months in advance to avoid disappointment. Trials should be carried out 6-8 weeks before the wedding to allow for hair growth etc. It is strongly advised not to cut your hair after your bridal trial. Please understand a trial is exactly that, a trial. It gives way to make changes so for instance that hair style can be put up and taken down to try different looks. At least two hours should be given for your trial. You should start collecting images and ideas as soon as you can, then together we can create the perfect look.

Is It just Upstyles?

Absolutely not. I am a fully qualified hairstylist so all your needs can be catered for. Cutting, Colouring & hi-lighting in preparation for your big day and beyond are also catered for upon request.

Do I need to pay a Bridal Hair Deposit?

YES, a 50euro deposit must be paid in advance. Payment can be paid over the phone or by calling to the studio. Booking is not confirmed until this is paid.

Do my bridesmaids need a trial?

Trials For Bridesmaids are optional but I do offer a free consultation at the Brides trial, where we can go through styles & take notes on their requirements. If a Bridesmaid requests a trial I am happy to oblige.

When you come to the bridal trial its important to bring a picture of the dress so we can create hair to compliment the dress. I will help you with ideas and we can go through pictures that you may like.
